Apartment Complex – at Badda, Dhaka
Located in the growing urban fabric of Badda, Dhaka, Khan Dreams emerges as a distinctive multi-tower residential complex designed to redefine community living within the city’s rapidly evolving landscape. Developed on a generous 10,784 sft land area with a total built-up area of 97,546 sft, the project is organized into four interconnected towers—each rising independently while sharing a unified architectural podium at the ground level. Together, the towers create a harmonious ensemble that blends density, livability, and modern aesthetics with strong contextual relevance.
As the architect of Khan Dreams, I envisioned the development as a composition of raw material honesty and contemporary structural expression. The exterior is defined by fair-faced concrete, exposed structural lines, and hand-crafted facing bricks, creating a warm, textured façade that responds to Dhaka’s climate while maintaining a timeless presence. Deep balconies, vertical shading elements, and carefully oriented openings mitigate heat gain and promote natural ventilation throughout the towers. The result is a performance-oriented architectural envelope that enhances comfort, reduces energy dependency, and allows each home to breathe naturally.

Design in Details
Khan Dreams adopts an architectural language shaped by vertical rhythm, material purity, and spatial efficiency. The four towers are strategically positioned to maximize daylight, preserve privacy, and optimize cross-ventilation between units. At ground level, a shared podium connects the towers, forming a unified community zone that accommodates entry lounges, circulation, landscape pockets, and shared amenities.
Each tower features a compact yet efficient floor plate with residential units planned around a central core. The layouts enhance living quality by ensuring clear zoning between public (living/dining) and private (bedrooms) spaces while maintaining ample daylight access and natural ventilation. Wide balconies extend the living experience outward, encouraging residents to interact with the urban environment while staying protected from direct sun through recessed edges and vertical fins.
The façade expresses the raw beauty of fair-faced concrete contrasted with brick textures, resulting in a naturally weathering, low-maintenance exterior. These materials create shifting light and shadow patterns, adding depth and sculptural character to the building throughout the day. Integrated planters and green pockets soften the vertical mass and strengthen the project’s biophilic qualities. The rooftop levels of each tower offer semi-open terraces with panoramic city views—providing residents with serene communal spaces above the urban bustle.
Together, these design choices deliver a development that is contextually grounded, environmentally responsive, and architecturally expressive—crafted for long-term durability and comfort.
